Complimentary Welcome Call

BOOKING PROCESS

Consultations are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.

  1. Book a consultation via our booking calendar link.

  2. A confirmation email will be sent upon successful booking.

  3. You will receive an email about The Pinched Pleat and our services.

Pricing

Welcome Calls are offered free of charge to potential clients.

Duration

The Welcome Call is limited to 30 minutes.

Platform

Calls will be conducted via Zoho Meetings.

Preparation

  • Clients are encouraged to prepare questions and have relevant project details ready.

  • Following your call confirmation email instructions, visual materials should be shared at least 24 hours before the consultation.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • Calls can be rescheduled or canceled 24 hours before the scheduled time.

  • Late cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiture of the call opportunity.

Confidentiality

All information shared during the call will be kept confidential.

Recording

The call will not be recorded unless explicitly agreed upon by both parties in advance.

Follow-up

A summary of the key points discussed will be emailed within 48 hours of the call.

Limitations

  • This call is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a binding agreement for services.

  • Any quotes or estimates provided during the call are subject to change.

Technical Issues

We will make reasonable efforts to reconnect or reschedule if there are technical difficulties.

Service Alignment

During the Welcome Call, we will mutually assess whether our services fit your needs and project goals.

No Obligation

Please note that participating in the Welcome Call does not obligate you to proceed with our services or guarantee that we will offer a follow-up consultation.

Follow-Up Consultation

If our services align well with your needs during the Welcome Call, we will offer to schedule a comprehensive in-home or virtual design consultation. This follow-up session will allow us to delve deeper into your project requirements and begin the design process. This subsequent meeting will be subject to separate terms and fees, clearly communicated before scheduling.

You agree to these terms of service by scheduling a Welcome Call.

In-Home Consultation

Booking Process

  1. Book a consultation via our booking calendar link or with a Design Consultant via phone.

  2. Complete the payment process to confirm your appointment.

  3. Upon successful booking, a confirmation email will be sent, including information about The Pinched Pleat’s services and pricing.

Fees and Payment

The in-home consultation fee is $150.00 and must be paid in full when booking. If you proceed with our full design package within 30 days of the consultation, this fee may be applied to future design services or products.

INITIAL CONSULTATION MAY BE Required

Before the in-home consultation, we may determine that a preliminary consultation is necessary. This brief virtual meeting allows us to:

  1. Assess your project needs and goals

  2. Ensure our services align with your expectations

  3. Prepare more effectively for the in-home consultation

This call is complimentary and typically lasts 15-30 minutes.

Scheduling

  • We will contact you to arrange a suitable time if a preliminary consultation is necessary.

  • The in-home consultation will only be confirmed after the successful completion of the discovery call if required.

No Additional Cost
The virtual initial consultation, if needed, is included in the consultation fee and does not incur any extra charges. By agreeing to these terms, you acknowledge that an initial virtual consultation may be required before the in-home design consultation and agree to participate if requested.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • Clients can reschedule their consultation up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment without penalty.

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the appointment will not receive a refund, but the fee may be applied to a future consultation within 30 days.

  • Clients who cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment will not receive a refund or the option to apply the fee to a future consultation.

  • We may waive penalties at our discretion in emergencies or special circumstances. Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your situation.

Scope of Services

Our in-home design consultation includes a room assessment, preliminary design ideas, color consultation, and general advice. This consultation does not include detailed plans, specifications, or product selections.

Duration

Our in-home consultations typically last 1-2 hours, depending on the size and scope of your project.

Confidentiality

All information shared during the consultation will be kept strictly confidential.

Intellectual Property

Any design ideas presented during the consultation remain the intellectual property of The Pinched Pleat. These ideas may not be used or reproduced without our express written consent.

No Guarantee of Future Work

This consultation does not guarantee a future design contract or obligation for either party to continue the professional relationship.

Liability Limitations

While we strive to provide the best advice possible, The Pinched Pleat LLC is not liable for any client actions based on suggestions or recommendations made during the consultation. Clients are responsible for verifying the suitability of any products or designs discussed.

Photography and Documentation

We may take photos and measurements during the consultation for our records and to assist in providing accurate advice. These will not be shared publicly without your consent.

Follow-up

Within three (3) business days of the consultation, you will receive an email summarizing key points discussed and initial recommendations.

Client Responsibilities

Please ensure the spaces to be discussed are accessible and, if possible, provide any relevant floor plans or inspiration images before the consultation.

What to Expect

  1. We'll discuss your project scope, goals, budget, and timeline.

  2. We'll assess your space and take measurements and photographs as needed.

  3. You'll receive our professional advice and initial design ideas.

  4. You’ll preview our fabric, trim, hardware, and window treatment samples.

Next Steps

If you choose to proceed with our full-service process, we'll prepare a detailed proposal for your project.

Disclaimer

This consultation is for preliminary design ideas only. Any suggestions made do not account for building codes, structural issues, or other technical aspects that may affect implementation.

Communication

All communication will be via email or phone during business hours, Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 6 PM.

We do not communicate via text message for design-related matters. Please reserve text messaging for reminder and emergency communication only.

Agreement

By scheduling, paying for, and participating in this Consultation, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to these terms of service for the In-Home Design Consultation. We look forward to helping you transform your space!

Virtual Design Consultation

Booking Process

Fees and Payment

Consultation fees are required at the time of booking and are as follows:

  • Window Treatment Design Consultation: $200.00

  • Drapery Hardware Design Consultation: $100.00

If you decide to proceed with your project within 30 days of the consultation, these fees will be applied to future design services or products.

If necessary, clients may be asked to participate in a brief, complimentary initial consultation before the scheduled design consultation. This helps us better understand your needs and prepare for the main consultation. This call typically lasts 15-30 minutes.

You acknowledge that an initial consultation may be required before the virtual design consultation and agree to participate if requested.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are expected to prepare for the consultation by:

  • Completing the client intake for at least twenty-four (24) hours before the virtual consultation.

  • Preparing a list of questions to maximize consultation time.

  • Ensuring all key decision-makers are present for the consultation.

Technical Requirements

  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection.

  • Use a device with a working camera and microphone.

Scope of Services

Virtual Design Consultations are consultation services only. Following the Design Consultation, The Pinched Pleat will provide you with design recommendations, which can be regarded as suggestions for improving the look of your space. The design concept will be provided “as is” without expressed or implied warranty.

Follow-Up

Clients will receive a summary of the discussed points and design recommendations within five (5) business days after the consultation. This summary will include a personalized design plan with product and style suggestions, a visualization of how the window treatment(s) or hardware will look in your space, and related product and service price estimates.

Renderings, Design Boards & Concepts

Our design concepts, renderings, and drawings are conceptual and show design intent only. They are for illustrative purposes only and should not be considered as exact replicas of the final product. Please note:

  1. Colors, textures, and proportions may appear different in the actual finished product due to variations in lighting, materials, and manufacturing processes.

  2. These renderings are approximations and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of the final result.

  3. Minor variations between the rendering and the finished product are normal and to be expected.

  4. The final product may differ from the rendering due to unforeseen circumstances, material availability, or necessary adjustments during implementation.

  5. They are not for architectural or engineering purposes.

  6. We strive for accuracy in our renderings, but the ultimate goal is to capture the essence and overall design concept rather than provide an exact, photorealistic representation.

By proceeding with the project, you acknowledge that you understand the nature of these renderings as approximations and not as guarantees of the outcome.

Estimates and Proposals

Estimates of fixed costs prepared by The Pinched Pleat represent our best judgment as professionals familiar with the industry. The Pinched Pleat does not have control over manufacturers, laborers, delivery, or showroom costs and, accordingly, can not warrant or represent that prices will not vary from the prepared estimates. The Client is responsible for the review and verification of dimensions or quantities.

Intellectual Property and Use of Design Materials

  • Ownership of Design Materials
    The Pinched Pleat retains all intellectual property rights (including copyrights, patents, and trademarks) in our design boards, specifications, and all related materials.

  • Client's Agreement
    The Client agrees not to challenge The Pinched Pleat's ownership of these rights.

  • Confidentiality and Restrictions

    • Our proposals and design concepts are confidential and exclusive to The Pinched Pleat.

    • The Client may not share these materials with third parties without our written permission.

    • The Client may not alter or remove our trademarks or proprietary notices without our written consent.

  • Client's Rights
    The Client can use and enjoy the final design and its elements upon project completion.

Confidentiality

All information shared during the consultation will remain confidential and will not be disclosed to any third parties without your consent.

Recording

Consultations will not be recorded unless both parties agree in writing before the meeting.

Liability Limitations

While we strive to provide the best advice possible, The Pinched Pleat LLC is not liable for any client actions based on suggestions or recommendations made during the consultation. Clients are responsible for verifying the suitability of any products or designs discussed.

Limitation of Damages
Neither party shall be liable for consequential, special, punitive, exemplary, or indirect damages. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for:

  • Anticipated profits

  • Loss of revenue

  • Economic loss

  • Cost of procurement of substitute goods or services

  • Loss of use of goods

  • Interruption of business or personal affairs

These limitations apply regardless of the cause of action, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise and even if the essential purpose of any limited remedy fails.

The Pinched Pleat's Liability Cap

The Pinched Pleat's total liability for any cause of action related to this Agreement shall not exceed the fees received for Services performed under this Agreement. This monetary compensation shall be the exclusive remedy for the Client against The Pinched Pleat.

Client Indemnification
The Client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold The Pinched Pleat harmless to the fullest extent permitted by law from and against any third-party claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses. This indemnification applies to issues arising from the negligence, failure, acts, or omissions of:

  • The Client

  • Any architect, vendor, supplier, contractor, or agent hired or retained by the Client

Photographs

The client agrees to The Pinched Pleat's use of project photos with our marketing, promotional, and advertising campaigns. Photographs will be used for business purposes, and The Pinched Pleat will not disclose the Client's name or location without prior consent.

Agreement

By scheduling, paying for, and participating in this consultation, acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms of service for the Virtual Design Consultation. We look forward to assisting with your design project!
